Eric van den Eijnden, Founder Dutch Expansion Capital

  • Eric van den Eijnden has 16 years of experience in fund management, private equity, deal origination, execution, structuring and managing in various business sectors. He founded and heads Dutch Expansion Capital, a venture capital company focused on early stage investments. DEC is the founder of Startupbootcamp HighTechXL.

    Earlier he co-headed the European Growth Fund for the Riverside Company headquartered in the US. Previous to that he managed the Berghave Fonds and was managing partner for the Dutch investment company Greenfield.

    Prior to Greenfield, he worked at the private equity group affiliated with Fortis Bank called NeSBIC, where he was a partner since 1999.

    Before entering the private equity sector, Eric worked as Director at the Corporate Finance Department of the Generale Bank, and he occupied positions in sales and business development at Rabobank, De Lage Landen and Elf Aquitaine.

    Eric graduated with distinction in Economics at the University of Tilburg, completed the postgraduate program in Business Administration at Nyenrode Business University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Hogere Technische School Eindhoven. Eric speaks Dutch, English, French and German.
