Julio Ramundo, Executive Director for the Industrial, Capital Markets and Venture Capital Divisions at BNDES

  • Julio Ramundo is a 44 year-old economist with a long-standing career with the BNDES, which he joined after a national public exam. He has served the Bank in a wide array of executive positions over the last years. As the present Executive Director for the Industrial, Capital Markets and Venture Capital Divisions, he oversees both the BNDES’ (BNDESPAR’s) equity portfolio, as well as new deals through debt, equity, venture capital and private equity funds for new ventures and investment projects in a broad range of industries. Among his duties, he is a member of the BNDES’ Executive Board. Julio is currently non-executive Director of Fibria Celulose S/A, a Brazilian pulp company, and Granbio, a Brazilian biotech start-up that transforms biomass into renewable products. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics from Rio de Janeiro Federal University (1992) and an MBA with distinction from the London Business School, University of London (2001).
